Stainless Steel Turnings (also known as chips, shavings, or swarf) are the metal waste produced when machining, drilling, or milling stainless steel components. They are highly recyclable but command a lower market price than solid stainless scrap because they are bulky, difficult to transport, and often contaminated with cutting fluids.
