Shredded Steel Scrap (industrially known as fragmented steel scrap) is an exceptionally high-quality, homogeneous ferrous commodity produced by feeding end-of-life automobiles, appliances, and light structural sheets through massive industrial hammermill shredders. The mechanical process tears the steel into fist-sized chunks, freeing non-ferrous attachments and debris. Powerful magnetic separators then extract the clean iron and steel pieces, resulting in a highly uniform product prized by global steel mills.
