UBC (Used Beverage Cans) scrap is one of the most volume-dense and globally traded non-ferrous aluminum commodities. Governed internationally under the ISRI code “Taldon,” it consists exclusively of post-consumer aluminum beverage cans. Because recycling UBCs requires 95% less energy than primary smelting, it is the foundational feedstock for producing new can sheet alloys.
